At Home Engagement Photos

At home engagement photoshoots are by far my favorite type of sessions to photograph! They’re my favorite for four reasons.

1. Get to kick back and relax! Just overall stress-free.

You don’t have to worry about making it to a certain location on time, the weather being bad, or worry about random strangers watching over your engagement shoot.

2. You get to be cozy + comfy!

Nothing like being in your cute comfy lounge wear, snuggled up with your man and of course your fur-babies!!

3. Capturing the things you love doing together

Whether you love cooking pancakes, baking cookies, playing with the dogs, listening to your favorite music, taking a bubble bath, drinking wine, etc. The activities are endless! I can capture it all, and will just make you forget about the camera, since you’re doing something you both love to do.

4. And lastly, they tell a deeper story.

This is your home, a place filled with memories + love. There is nothing better, then looking back at these photos 10 years later, and remembering the place where it all started.

Francesca and Mackenzie wanted an in-home engagement session from the beginning. They wanted to capture this point of their lives together, they just recently purchased their first home together, and renovated it!! Oh my goodness, their home was so cute! I love their modern-farmhouse style. The moment you walked into their home, you just saw plants everywhere and it was just so warm and cozy. They also had two adorable pups, that loved being in front of the camera and made their engagement photos all the more fun.

A couple of weeks before their in home engagement session, I had sent them a questionnaire, that really goes deep into who they are and what they love to do together. This really helps me create a story for their photoshoot. A few of things they both love to do is hanging out on their patio with the pups, drinking wine, watching TV, making dinner, and going on a golf cart ride around the neighborhood!

This was perfect and I wanted to capture just a few of these things, that made them who they are! So, we did just that! I started their in home engagement photoshoot at their patio with all their cute plants, had some wine, played with the pups, and then later took a golf cart ride around the neighborhood.

It was perfectly them + this is why I love at home photo shoots.
