Frequently asked questions

FAQ

  • How many images are included?

For weddings, I deliver a maximum of 1000 images. For sessions, I deliver a maximum of 200 images. Honestly, I don’t put a set number on how many images you will receive, because I don’t want you to miss out on any memories! Basically, I never put a cap or limit on what I deliver.

  • Do you travel for weddings?

Yes! I travel far and wide for both weddings, elopements and engagement sessions! My destination weddings, elopements and engagement sessions come with travel included! So you don’t have to worry about any of the logistics. Let’s just focus on having a good ole time, at the place that means most to you!!

  • Do you give RAWS?

Honestly, editing is just half the process/magic that goes into images, and without that huge step the images are only half way done. This is the sole reason why I do not give out RAWs. I promise to never leave out any photo you’ll want/need, and if you feel I missed delivering a photo, just ask! I’m more than happy to check back on my images and send it over to you, I won’t let you miss out on any memories.

  • How do payment schedules work?

For weddings, I require a $1000 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking to hold your date, and the remaining is due one month prior to your wedding.

For sessions, I require 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking to hold your date, and the remaining 50% due the day of your shoot.

  • Can you photoshop us to look skinnier/have clear skin in our photos?

Even though I know photoshop, I don’t believe in changing your appearance in photoshop. I want to focus on making you feel and look beautiful, rather than unrealistic. So no, I don’t photoshop your bodies to appear different than they actually are. Yes, I clear up skin and remove distractions.

  • What if we need to cancel or reschedule?

If you’ve already put a deposit down on a date and then have to move/cancel it, the deposit is non-refundable and a new deposit will have to be made in order to hold your new date. I do this because, I already have saved your date from any other potential clients and if we move your date I essentially lose money. Because I’m counting on that final payment to pay for bills, since I only take a limited amount of jobs per month, meaning that I depend on that money.

  • What happens if you can’t make it to our wedding?

Heaven forbid this happens, but in the case of something crazy/out of my control happens, making me unable to make it to your wedding, then I will do my best to find a replacement photographer that I trust to come and take my place to shoot it. I’m not legally held to doing so, in the case of me or a replacement not making me or a replacement not making it to your wedding, you will be refunded.

  • What if we need to reschedule our shoot due to weather?

We can reschedule if weather is really that awful, but some of my favorite sessions ever have been on overcast days, and extremely windy days! Embracing the weather makes for incredible photos. The only times I’ve rescheduled shoots due to weather is if my camera will be ruined by weather. We will make a decision together whether we need to reschedule or not.

  • How will I receive my photos? Do I receive a print release?

Photos will be delivered in high-resolution jpegs via an online gallery. It’s a beautiful online gallery that you will have access to for an entire year, yet I strongly suggest that you download your images immediately after receiving your online gallery. Then safely backup your images. You can share that online gallery with family and friends too!

Yes, print release is all yours, and is in your contract! I encourage all my clients to print their photos, since your photos shouldn’t live behind a screen. It’s not like you can pass your old iphones with your wedding photos on them to your grandkids. You feel me?

  • When do I expect to receive my photos?

I have a pretty quick turnaround and I pride myself on saying that! All sessions will be delivered in 2-4 weeks and weddings will be delivered in 4-6 weeks.

  • What should we wear?

I have a whole guide that I will provide you with! That really goes into all of that, but essentially stick with a neutral palette, seriously refrain from bold patterns (like if you have too, just one person wearing some pattern), crazy bright, neon colors. Also flowy dresses are so nice, they create a lot of movement if there is some wind. Honestly, I just want you to feel comfortable and yourselves throughout this process. If you're still unsure just throw a pile of outfits in a bag, bring it to our shoot and I’ll decide what will fit best for the location and the vibe we are going for.

  • Can I have my best friend or family member come with me to our session?

Nope. Since, I don’t want them to kill the vibe of the shoot or stop you from showing your real genuine feelings and emotions. Plus, I really don’t like it when someone is constantly looking over my shoulder, it just throws me off and will throw you off, I promise, you’ll thank me later.

  • Why is wedding photography so expensive?

There is just so much that goes into wedding photography in general.

Here is a sneak peek into what I provide for each of my couples:

I spend about 5 times the amount of hours they’ve contracted with me before and after their wedding day to deliver their final product. From the emails, to the text messages, facetime calls, creating wedding timelines, reviewing wedding questionnaires, coordinating with your wedding coordinator, vendors, and so much more that goes into preparing for the wedding day. I also drive, or fly, or both, for an average of 8 hours to arrive and come back from their wedding destination. Also, I have gear insurance, and venues require liability insurance to photograph at their location, so I also provide that to be able to photograph at their wedding. After their wedding, I spend about double the hours they’ve contracted with me to cull, edit, resize images, create a sneak peek gallery, create a slideshow, a final gallery, and blog. But hold on, there is more! The programs I use to create a seamless experience for each of my clients, the education to constantly better myself, the gear to provide them with amazing quality images, the backup systems I have in place to protect their images and so much more. So the answer is why isn’t wedding photography more expensive? I honestly put so much heart and love into what I provide my clients, that the experience and the investment is worth it. I promise you’ll be sending me multiple heart eye emojis by the end of it!
