I was so pleased to have been invited to photograph Maty and Avi’s wedding at The Sacred Space, this is a stunning venue that encapsulates the beauty in the paradise of Miami perfectly. This place has a distinctive design; nature is incorporated into the construction to give it a chic yet natural atmosphere, best highlighted at their guava grove. Maty and Avi’s wedding looked gorgeous with the backdrop of The Sacred Space! They chose an earthy and green theme that complemented the venue, which features 20,000 square feet of outdoor gardens.

Capturing Nostalgic Wedding Preparations

The couple’s ceremony and reception took place at The Space, but they got ready separately. Maty, the bride, made her preparations in her childhood bedroom with her mum, sisters, and even her dogs- this was nostalgic and heartwarming. It made the moments leading up to the marriage ceremony so much more meaningful. As a wedding photographer, I rarely see couples getting ready in their homes anymore, but it truly did add that bespoke element to the day. Looking back at those photos years from now will not only bring back memories of their wedding but of their childhood too.

This was a family-centered Jewish wedding; the groom, Avi, had a special moment signing the traditional Jewish Ketubah with the elder males of his and his bride's households. It signifies the importance of his role as a husband and his acceptance of the responsibility that marrying Maty holds. The Sacred Space has a range of modern, prestigious, and sleek indoor rooms which housed the men of Avi’s family comfortably during the signing.
