As a wedding photographer, I am always excited to capture the special moments of a couple's big day, but when I heard that Christine and Raul were having their destination wedding at the beautiful Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, I knew this was going to be one for the books.

Dreams Macao Beach

Arriving two days before the wedding, I was filled with anticipation as I made my way to Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana. After a short three-hour flight from Miami, I was welcomed by the Dominican Republic’s warm climate, a view of tall palm trees, and the clear turquoise-blue ocean in the background. This was the perfect place for a wedding and I couldn't wait to start taking photos. Explore my passion for my work and my clients here!

I explored the grounds of Dreams Macao Beach, noting all of the beautiful locations I could use when it came time to do the couple's photography session. There were amazing gardens, beachfront views, and other unique sights that would make for amazing photos. This venue had only opened recently in 2020, and unfortunately, due to the pandemic, it was unable to host many events during its opening years. The couple had to postpone their wedding in the past too, so it was extra special to be there to see them finally celebrate.

Christine and Raul’s Wedding Day Details

The sun shone brightly as Christine and Raul prepared for the special day. The bride looked breathtakingly beautiful in her exquisite designer gown from Pronovias. The bridesmaids wore soft blush-colored dresses that matched the florals perfectly, and the men looked sharp in linen pants with suspenders and white shirts.

Due to the size and versatility of Dreams Macao Beach, they could have had the ceremony in many different, gorgeous spots, but these love birds chose a grassy field, setting up a 360-degree circle of chairs for their closest friends and family to experience the ceremony from all angles. The ceremony arch was adorned with an abundance of colorful florals, creating a beautiful, romantic atmosphere. Pink roses, white roses, and orchids were arranged in lush bouquets around the arch with pompous grass for a soft edge. The florals created an air of elegance, making it the perfect setting for the couple to exchange their vows.

The groom waited eagerly at the bottom of the long steps, looking dashing in his blush-pink Express suit. Anticipation and excitement built in his heart with each step that the bride took. He watched as she gracefully descended toward him looking more beautiful than ever. It's moments like these that make me cherish my job as a wedding photographer - I could really feel their love here.

After the ceremony, the sun was setting and painted the surroundings in a soft, hazy hue as we took the bride and groom portraits. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful backdrop for their photos - the amount of spots to choose from seemed endless, this is a truly stunning venue.

The Hora Loca: The Party of the Night

The reception was a blast! The bride changed into her sneakers at this point to keep up with all the dancing. A group called the Hora Loca even came to spice up the party even more. They had vibrant costumes and exciting dance moves that got everyone up on their feet and jumping around. The energy was palpable as they moved throughout the room, stirring up even more excitement with each step they took.

Overall, Christine and Raul's destination wedding at Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana was a dream come true for me as a wedding photographer. The location was stunning, the couple was in love, and the day was perfect. I am grateful for the opportunity to capture such a special day for them, and I know their photos will be treasured for years to come.
