Destination Wedding in Texas

Being part of Mallory and Kyle's special day in Weatherford Texas (an hour from Dallas, Texas) was an experience I will never forget. Lazy S Hacienda, the venue for their wedding, was incredibly stunning; with its panoramic views of the countryside, Mexican-style ranch decor, and picturesque backdrop, it provided us with endless opportunities to capture beautiful memories. I hope that one day soon I get the chance to shoot there again!

Preparing for the Day

On the Texas wedding venue's property, the bride and groom had separate areas to prepare for their special day. The blushing bride prepped in the main building while her future husband made his way to a little farm off to the side where they keep horses; here he got ready with his groomsmen. To pass some time before tying the knot, they visited with the beautiful steeds at the stables and then threw around a football - quite fitting as he is an avid fan! All these moments created lasting memories that will be cherished forever on this momentous occasion.

Capturing the Moment: The First-look photos

Many professional photographers will talk about a first look, which is a moment before the wedding when the bride and groom see each other for the first time, and we get to record the romantic moment to last forever. Every couple should have a photo of their reactions in their wedding albums, particularly the priceless and raw expression on the groom's face as the bride's beauty is unveiled. Her dress was from A & Bé Bridal Shop, who make the most beautiful dresses! Mallory and Kyle exchanged love letters during their first look and it was so precious, being able to capture this precious moment for them is something I consider a great honor.

Texas Wedding: Vowing Love

The beautiful couple said  “I do” on a captivating hillside overlooking a vast expanse of pasture, fields, and greenery. The weather in Weatherford was so warm and delightful on this day. While their relationship was being blessed at the altar, the blessings didn’t stop there. The guests witnessing Mallory and Kyle’s special moments had a heartwarming experience they would never forget, all the while in the embrace of the sunlight. Everything about the day truly made this a warm Texas wedding.

Detail-Oriented: Decor and Florals Complement the Rustic Venue

Mallory and Kyle’s decor was very creative; I love how well it matched the Texas wedding venue's rustic, rural atmosphere. The floral arrangements they picked from Billie Ball & Co: Fuschia, pink, and white, flawlessly complimented the surroundings and gave everything a pop of color. This special touch was incredibly distinctive!

The venue building has antique, embellished, wooden doors which represent the area of the venue accurately. They give a historic, rustic feel and this is exactly the vibe that you get when looking at Lazy S Hacienda. Despite it being a modern ranch with state-of-the-art facilities, it has a unique, traditional appearance.

Sunset Portraits

As the ranch is on top of a hill overlooking an expanse of nature, it is in perfect view of the setting sun on the horizon. Mallory and Kyle’s portraits during the sunset were lush, as the sun kissed their skin and they stared deeply into each other's eyes, I got to capture their love forever. Lazy S Hacienda provided an abundance of outdoor space for us to work with during the shoot, everywhere we stepped it was just breathtaking! 

Final Thoughts: A Texas Wedding That Impresses from Start to Finish!

This Texas wedding was one of a kind. As I traveled from Florida to be with Mallory and Kyle, I was pleased to find that the venue was only 45 miles from the nearest airport. Despite being so close to the city, the venue provides fantastic privacy and luxury.
